WHAT IS WEE

Waters Edge is a 200-acre Christian camp and conference center located in Crockett, Texas. But more than that, Waters Edge is a place of prayer, a place of transformation, and a place of healing. Since 2012, we have been providing a place of refuge for people of all ages to retreat from their everyday lives and connect with the Savior, Jesus Christ.

Mikey is our President and Director. He casts vision, sets unrealistic deadlines, and comes up with all kinds of crazy ideas!

Michael Norton

Guest Experience and Grounds

Michael manages and overseas all of the groundskeeping and fleet management for Waters Edge. He also is over guest services.

WEE has the BEST volunteers in the world. There has been a constant stream of Christ-followers since 2009 committed to seeing the vision of God become a reality. From construction, to small groups, to kitchen and everything in between, without our WEE Team each event would not be possible.

Waters Edge

WEE is a Christian Camp and Conference Center located in the Davy Crockett National Forest located in Crockett, Texas.

Floodplain and Flood Safety Information
Waters Edge is located on a dammed lake next to the National Forest. Based on the current FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) (viewable via FEMA’s Flood Map Service Center), no cabins or sleeping quarters are located within a designated Special Flood Hazard Area (Zone A).
Some non-residential structures (Dining Hall) may be located next to to areas identified as flood-prone; however, these structures are not used for overnight occupancy.
Waters Edge maintains a comprehensive Emergency Action Plan that includes weather monitoring, evacuation procedures, and designated muster areas located outside flood-prone zones. Staff are trained in emergency response procedures, and evacuation routes are established to ensure the safe movement of campers and staff in the event of severe weather or rising water.
